Amy

Well well, what can i say about my little cherub! She is now 3 months old and i cannot believe how quickly she has settled into our family. My son is smitten with his baby sister, he just dotes on her. now and then i catch him staring at her with a big goofy grin on his face. which of course makes my heart melt. Shes growing into a beautiful little angel and is starting to get her little personality which i must admit is amazing. her big gummy smile and cheeky dimples gets me everytime.

However 3 months earlier, as her birth began, it wasnt all plain sailing. my labour began at 4am really quickly and very intense. my husband was his usual calm self as always and gathered everything we needed. waiting on the in laws to arrive to babysit our son, we excitedly begun talking about her arrival. we arrived at the hospital at 7:30am and i was already 5cm dilated. as my labour 'progressed' my waters broke and my contractions continued. However after 8 hours i was STILL 5cm dilated! heartbroken i was to say the least and devastated that an emergancy section was the only way to get her out safely! the next 15mins were the worst minutes of my life. being rushed down a narrow corridor my husband being left outside while 10 doctors, nurses, etc gathered round me, poking and prodding me with needles, discussing my babies weak condition in medical jargon that just scared me to my core! as i lay there shaking and terrified, my hubby came in and tears were welling in his eyes too! but after 3 minutes little Amy was born healthy and happy.

IT JUST SHOWS THAT EVER GIRL NEEDS A BIG ENTRANCE
